Can I downgrade Pro back to Free?
Yes. When your Pro period ends (or you cancel auto-renew), the workspace returns to Free quotas after a 7-day grace window. Your signatures and log entries remain accessible; only NEW operations are subject to Free limits. Retention windows shrink to 7 days on read.
Do I need an account to self-host?
No. The self-host kit (docker-compose) runs without any SEIF account or API key. Tier enforcement is disabled by default for self-hosted workspaces.
What payment methods do you accept?
Pro tier billing is handled by a Merchant of Record (payment processor TBD) — credit / debit card, PIX (Brazil), and other regional methods. The Merchant of Record handles taxes (VAT / sales tax / Brazilian retenção fiscal) upstream, so you receive a compliant invoice. Enterprise contracts can be invoiced off-band.

Is the protocol open?
Yes. The SEIF protocol specification is open (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19344678). The seif-skills package is MIT-licensed. The hosted infrastructure (engine, CT log, Evidence URLs) is the paid product.
